I can't see my video, what should I do?

Sometimes you may be able to add your video, but it does not appear correctly in the editor. However, you can play it on your computer using VLC, Windows Media Player, or your favourite media player.

There are several possible reasons for this:

Your video is encoded in H265/HEVC. Your video is corrupted.

First, you can try changing your browser and using Chrome to upload your video. If using Chrome does not solve the problem, the codec may be specific to your operating system.

You will then need to use a Mac to view the video in Capte.

How do I download my video on an iPhone?

Downloading your subtitled video from an iPhone is easy.

On Capte:

Go to the desired video, navigate to the "Export" tab, click on "Export," and once the video is exported, click on the "Download" button.

Your video will download, and an icon with an arrow will appear next to the URL (as indicated by the blue arrow in the image below). Click on it, and you'll find your video! To access it, click on the video, and there you go!

Displaying two languages on a video.

It's not possible to directly add subtitles in two different languages, but there is a very simple method to do so.

1) Export your video with subtitles in language (A);

2) Retrieve the .SRT file for this video by following these steps;

3) Import this video with subtitles in language (A) into the tool;

4) Import your .SRT file by clicking here:

5) Select the desired language (B) for the subtitles and customize the style (color, vertical position, etc.);

6) Export your video, which will now include subtitles in 2 languages.
