# How to import a video into Capte?

*   The first thing to do is to make sure that the video format is compatible with Capte.
List of recommended formats: MP4, MOV.
To find out the format of a video, simply right-click on it and view the information.

*   Recommended size for the video
Do not exceed 1GB ideally.
You can add videos up to 1 hour in length!

*   To retrieve a video, you can first download it from platforms like YouTube with [this method](https://www.getcapte.com/blog/comment-traduire-une-video-youtube-gratuitement).

*   Drag and drop in the explorer or click on "add a video."

*   Select the video and click "Open."

*   Wait for the video to be loaded and processed.

**What to do in case of import error?**

*   Unsupported formats: convert the video online or with the free software Handbrake.

*   Unknown error: contact Capte support.
